It has been some time since my last post! I apologize to those who have been looking forward to it. Life seems to have gotten in the way and I am going to try to pay more attention and devote more attention to the page!
I have been up to a lot since my last post. I went to Martha’s Vineyard for a little while for my best friend’s wedding (congrats again, Steph and Ryan!), I’ve now been working for a bit at the new job at the law firm and am getting more comfortable with the position, a lot of summer adventures, and I have really been trying to hone in on the diet!
This brings me to the heading of my post, “Balancing It All”. It’s been tough for me lately to try to keep all areas of my life intact and on track. Spending enough time with my puppy, keeping the house cleaning and laundry done, spending time with friends, getting my training in while nursing a knee problem, coaching, working, studying, blogging, eating right, I feel like the list could go on and on. But you know what, this is everyone’s life. Everyone has a lot going on and has to balance it all. That’s part of this crazy thing we call life š

I try to keep that in mind when I get overwhelmed, that everyone goes through this. I can only imagine what it’s like to be a Mom! Such credit is given to those who also care for a family. Really all anyone can do is the best that they can. For me, that means staying organized and prepared. Summer is over and the schedule will be getting back to normal, that will definitely help. Here in New England summer is such a precious thing, I try to hold on to it as long as I can and make the most of it while it’s here. I’ve made it to the beach more this year than I have in the last 5 years combined. It’s been a great few months of doing what I want, when I wanted. But with summer coming to an end, it’s time to get a hold of life again. I am doing the Lurong Paleo Challenge starting up next week. I’ve had great success with the Challenge in years past, and I am determined to get the same outcome this time around. If you are interested in the Challenge, click here!
I realize this post has less to do with helping all of ya’ll and more about helping myself. I apologize for the rambling about how busy I have been. I think sometimes if you want to change something, you just have to DO something. So, in writing this post, I’m trying to get back into the swing of writing. My goal is to write and publish once a week. I did read this article that had some helpful tips. If any of you out there are feeling too busy to do ANYTHING, take a peekĀ here. Ā It’ll prevent you from feeling like my friend here…
Stay Strong and Stay Beautiful!

It’s nice to have posts like this from time to time. It shows that you are really human like the rest of us. Sometimes it is easy to become caught up in our daily life and look at coaches, and other “more fit” members of the gym and think, wow, they really have it all figured out, what am I doing wrong? So thank you for admitting you aren’t perfect and that you also struggle with commitments pulling you in every direction.
